Realizing that a large amount of packaging material is thrown away on a daily basis I decided to find a better use for this waste.
From recycled styrofoam from Apple packaging material I made two lamps.
Working at a local Apple reseller made the amount of available resource material no problem.
Assembling parts of waste material into interesting shapes and functions was.
The result of this project is a series of 2 lamps, both made from the same waste material, but totally different in function and shape.
Lamp 1 is a smaller main light used for illumination of the living room.
Lamp 2 is a larger lamp used in a bedroom to function as a wake-up lamp. The light illuminates the complete ceiling to simulate a sunrise.
